Typhus, trophies and other tragedies

We moved in to our parents houses. Both of them. Our flat is being renovated. Terrible thing.
It's only the second day and I already feel homeless :(((((( Give me back my sofa! The flat is covered with white dust, difficult to stay there, so I paint at my mother-in-law's kitchen table. It's interesting: I am listening to an audiobook, and in the background there is a second voice debating if we should take a cat to our home, what furniture should go into our corridor, how to wash a blanket, what are best corner cabinets, and where best carpets can be found, because those new floors will have to be covered with something to survive the winter ;]

And in such atmosphere my new miniature is being created. And it is Typhus:

W owej atmosferze rodzinnej sielanki powstaje Tyfus:

Balrog started practising saying 'cześć' (hi) ... I mean he recalls this word sometimes and tries to impress the grandma or people passing us by. Oh right, the passers-by, hehehe - I recalled a situation that took place yesterday:

In the morning we're going to a shop nearby, to buy a bun for Balrog's breakfast. And Balrog greets the men who stand talking there (so called "pensioners") as if they were his good old friends: "hi". (Un)fortunately these guys got (and liked) it and returned the greeting. So when we were returning from the shop, Balrog decided to have a longer chat with them. The discussion didn't go very smoothly, but my son must have assumed it must be the way it should be. He sat next to them and once in a while started talking about "boo here" or "sha sha" and I had to intervene. My son spending his time in front of a liquor store? Aaaaargh!

AAAAAAAAAAAA!

Ah, there's one more thing to tell you about =D
My Vulkan He'Stan took the first place in the Space Marine painting contest organized by CMON and THQ. Thank you very much for your votes and comments posted there!

Now here are the photos for those who still haven't seen the miniature:

Ach, mam się czym pochwalić =D
Mój Vulkan He'Stan zwyciężył w konkursie malowania Space Marine'ów zorganizowanym przez CMON i THQ!

And if you wonder how I painted the lava base, here is a link to the tutorial about painting lava on this model. Enjoy!

  1. Great job - I really dislike the Vulcan model, but you really turned it into something to watch. Really colorful, awesome freehand on the cloak, and that lava is just friggin' fantastic!
