Has much been going on in the world of miniatures during my absence?
I guess there was ;)
Since the beginning of the previous week Balrog's been spending 8 hours each day in the club (a kind of nursery or kindergarten). There are many "aunts" and kids there and we allowed him to get accustomed to the new place slowly - and that's the reason of my absense. Because since I got rid of the nanny, I had to take care of Balrog by myself.

Dużo się działo w świecie figurek kiedy mnie nie było?
Pewnie aż za dużo ;)
Balrog od początku poprzedniego tygodnia chodzi na 8h do klubu (coś jak żłobek albo przedszkole). Ciotek i dzieci tam chmara, więc ma szczęścia co nie miara. Pozwoliliśmy mu aklimatyzować się powoli, stąd moja nieobecność.
Bo skoro pogoniłam ostatnią nianię, musiałam sama się nim zająć.

For like a month Balrog's been able to run on his own and falling to the ground is no longer a tragedy for him.
He says "bam" and that's it - just another normal thing. He is able to move over thresholds now and is learning to move on stairs.
Walking down is easy peasy :P Climbing up is more difficult.
But it's enough of my private stuff, time to move on to the lord of Tzeentch.

Balrog sam biega od miesiąca, a i zaliczanie gleby przestało być tragedią.
"Bam" i tyle - normalna kolej rzeczy. Pokonuje progi i bierze się za schody.
Schodzenie to pryszcz ;P gorzej z wchodzeniem.
Ale koniec prywaty, lepiej napiszę jak to było u Lorda Tzeencha.

Painting the Lord of Tzeentch on a teleporting disc
Let's start with the base:
Initially I thought I'd convert a few 'tails' of the disc into pheasant's feathers and the model would become more 'birdy'.
But in result of some coincidence I came up with an idea of creating a teleporter and so the concept of making the feathers had to go.
I also received some interersting suggestions regarding the base on the forum and I admit that the idea of water splashing out of the teleporter was just superb.
I had a similar idea but discarded it quite quickly because I thought it would clash with the general concept of usung a desert theme for the base, but with an added twist of making it look like a sea bottom. (Quite Tzeentchy approach, wasn't it?)
After a bit of thinking I regret not using the idea, but I would most likely had a lot of work making such splashing water... but maybe the idea will find its use when I feel a need for changes?

Zacznijmy od podstawki:
Na początku myślałam, że przerobię kilka dymków ciągnących się za dyskiem na pawie pióra i będzie mocno ptasi model.
Ale zbiegiem okoliczności wpadł mi do głowy pomysł z teleportem i pomysł z piórami poszedł w odstawkę.
Na forum dostałam kilka ciekawych pomysłów co mogłabym zrobić z tą podstawką i nie ukrywam, że pomysł z wodą wychlustującą się z teleportu za dyskiem jest super.
Również przemknęło mi to przez głowę, ale odrzuciłam pomysł bardzo szybko, bo wydawało mi się, że nie współgra z koncepcją zrobienia pustyni na terenie sugerującym wyglądem dno akwenu wodnego. (Typowo tzeenchowe zagranie.)
Po namyśle trochę tego żałuję, choć pewnie umęczyłabym się robieniem wychlustującej się wody... a może jeszcze mnie najdzie nieodparta potrzeba zmian?

The model of lord comes with a familiar. I removed the tab to make the familiar emerge either from the disc or from the terrain.
Another digression: Since Balrog is with us, we experience the "survival of the stronges". It also applies to plants.
Even cacti had to go through some tough moments. Although our plants were already hardened after surviving the heavy conditions we have at home (hyperactivity of the cat plus my indolence and Mahon's total indifference) ;P
But there's nothing to pull hair out of our heads because of a few plants. I found the cactus useful for making its miniature version.
But I already told you that I am a mediocre sculptor, so don't expect too much.

Unfortunately the photos don't seem to be very valuable. I was working in too much chaos to remember what was already photographed and what not. Reviewing and sorting the photos and removing worthless ones took me a week.

Zdjęcia niestety nie przedstawiają sobą wielkiej wartości. Pracowałam w zbyt dużym chaosie, żeby pamiętać co sfotografowalam a czego jeszcze nie. Posegregowanie zdjęć i pozbycie się bubli zajęło mi tydzień.

Color scheme for airbrushing the disc:
Reaper Red Brick 09001 all over.
(The front of the disc was masked with foil and the edge was covered with maskol. To create the effect of chipped paint, I went further with maskol, applying it with a torn piece of a dish washing foam.)
The remaining unmasked part I covered with Vallejo Violet MC 960 first.
Then I added some Reaper Marine Teal 09077 and covered a smalled surface.
I applied Marine Teal alone on even smaller area.
Then I added P3 White to it.

Potem dodałam do niego trochę Reapera Marine Teal 09077 i pokryłam mniejszy obszar.
Jeszcze płycej nałożyłam sam Marine Teal.
Następnie dodałam do niego White z P3.
Na koniec punktowo rozjaśniłam samym White.
